An individual may contribute up to $5,800 ($2,900 for the primary election; $2,900 for the general election), while couples may contribute up to $11,600 ($2,900 each for the primary election; $2,900 each for the general election). Federal multicandidate PACs may contribute up to $10,000 ($5,000 for the primary election; $5,000 for the general election). Contributions from corporations, foreign nationals (without "green cards") and federal government contractors are prohibited.
Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, address, occupation and name of employer of individuals whose aggregate contributions exceed $200 per election.
