DISCLAIMER / CONTRIBUTION TERMS (PLEASE READ)
Contributions are made to support Brandon Owen for Assembly (the “Committee”) and will be used in connection with California state elections and other lawful political purposes. Campaign contributions are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for federal or state income tax purposes.
Contribution Limits (California – 2025–2026 cycle).
California law limits contributions to candidates for State Assembly to $5,900 per contributor, per election for individuals, and $11,800 per election for businesses/entities/committees (political parties: no limit). Primary and General elections are treated as separate elections.
Any contribution that exceeds applicable limits may be refunded or reattributed as permitted by law.
Required Contributor Information / Reporting.
California law requires the Committee to collect and report contributor information. For contributions of $100 or more, the Committee must obtain and maintain the contributor’s name and address, and for individual contributors, occupation and employer information. If the Committee does not obtain required information within the timeframe required by law, the contribution may be returned.
Cash & Anonymous Contributions.
California law prohibits the Committee from accepting cash contributions of $100 or more from a single source.
Anonymous contributions of $100 or more are prohibited and, if received, must be handled as required by law.

If you donate from a joint account, the Committee may report the contribution as coming from the account holder(s) consistent with California reporting rules unless you provide written instructions allocating the contribution among account holders as permitted by law.
Best Efforts & Compliance.
The Committee reserves the right to request additional information to confirm compliance with campaign finance laws, including verifying contributor identity and eligibility. The Committee may reject, refund, or return contributions that appear to be unlawful, exceed limits, lack required information, or otherwise create compliance concerns.
Recurring Contributions (If Selected).
If you select a recurring donation, you authorize the Committee (or its processor) to charge your payment method automatically at the selected frequency until you cancel. You may cancel future recurring contributions at any time using the cancellation link or instructions provided in your receipt, or by contacting the Committee.
Refund Policy.
Contributions are generally non-refundable, except as required to comply with applicable laws and regulations (e.g., excess contributions, prohibited source concerns, missing required information, or chargebacks/processing issues). Refunds, if issued, may be net of any non-recoverable processing fees where permitted.
