DALENPAC History
The Dallas Entrepreneurial Political Action Committee (DALENPAC) was founded in 1978 by Arthur Wessely, Louis Beecherl Jr., Bob Pickens, Bill Pickens, Frank West, and Al Wiederkehr.
Originally established as The Dallas Energy PAC, the organization later adopted the name DALENPAC to reflect the broader interests and diverse business backgrounds of its trustees and governors.
DALENPAC supports conservative, pro-business candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate, with a particular emphasis on “wildcat” or long-shot races. The PAC is supported by men and women who have built successful business careers and share a commitment to advancing free enterprise and pro-business principles in government.
Over more than four decades, DALENPAC has supported hundreds of candidates who champion pro-growth economic principles, contributed more than $4 million directly to candidates, and participated in events that have raised more than $50 million for U.S. House and Senate candidates.
