Contributions to Desmond for Congress are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. An individual may contribute up to $7,000 ($3,500 for the primary election and $3,500 for the general election). Contributions from corporations, foreign nationals (without "green cards") and federal government contractors are prohibited. Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, address, occupation and name of employer of individuals whose aggregate contributions exceed $200 per election.
