The Gloucester Republican City Committee is asking for your contribution to the Bud Hobbs Memorial Scholarship for a Gloucester High School or Essex Tech senior (Gloucester resident) who is going into the building trades. The $1000 scholarship will be awarded at the successful completion of four (4) months of apprenticeship.

Named in honor of Bud Hobbs (1943 - 2024), a Gloucester Fire Captain, business owner and passionate advocate for hard work and lifelong learning who mentored many young people in a variety of trades. Together we can create a brighter future for promising young individuals.

Our goal is to raise $5000 for five scholarships. Every dollar raised goes directly to the scholarships.

Your generous donation can make a significant difference for deserving students to gain the hand-on experience necessary to excel in their chosen professions. Your support will help individual students and also strengthen our community by fostering a new generation of skilled professionals.
