In the 2024 Iredell County Commissioner race, there is only one candidate who you can expect more from, and that’s Brad Howard. 

Brad is a passionate, results-driven businessman who is committed to serving the residents of Iredell County. 

As County Commissioner, Brad Howard promises to work diligently to voice the concerns and aspirations of his constituents and advocate for policies spanning tax, education, property rights, and more, that promote the well-being and prosperity of the County. Brad plans to engage residents and key community stakeholders to ensure needs are met and voices are heard. 

Brad Howard's candidacy for the Iredell County Board of Commissioners is backed by his business expertise, community involvement, and strong conservative values. Throughout his career, Brad has remained a long-standing member of the Republican Party, and previously served on the executive board of the Iredell County Republican Party.  

Born and raised in Iredell County, Brad attended Mount Mourne Elementary, Brawley Middle, and Mooresville High School, giving him a personal understanding of both county education systems. While working full-time, Brad also attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Marketing. 

Brad embarked on a successful career in manufacturing operations for paper products in Mooresville, where he gained a deep appreciation for the intricacies of the industry and the hard work behind it. It was in this pursuit that he learned the importance of connecting with people from all walks of life. Being an entrepreneur, he has touched on various industries such as marketing, food service, events and hospitality, and health and wellness, but his true passion is in real estate. 

Brad's contributions extend far beyond his business endeavors. He played a pivotal role in the creation of the Mooresville-South Iredell Developer Council and the Lake Norman Managed Growth Alliance, a platform that aims to seek innovative community-focused solutions. Brad has also served on the board of the Mooresville-South Iredell Chamber of Commerce, as President of the Lake Norman Home Builders Association, on the Iredell County Tax Board, and many additional oversight boards, gaining a reputation as an honest businessman who genuinely cares about the concerns of the community.  

In recognition of his outstanding commitment, Brad was honored as the 2011 Business Person of the Year by the Mooresville-South Iredell Chamber of Commerce. This esteemed award showcased his dedication to contributing meaningfully to the growth and prosperity of Iredell County. 

Amidst his professional achievements, Brad remains grounded in the values that matter most - his family. Brad and his wife, Nikki, are blessed with three children: Asher, Beckett, and Lachlyn. Brad understands the importance of creating a safe, prosperous, and inclusive community where all families can thrive. Brad's perspective on the issues facing Iredell County is shaped by his deep-rooted connection to his own family and aims to create a prosperous community for generations to come.
