By law the maximum amount an individual may contribute is $2,800 for the general election and $2,800 to the recount fund. Any funds received in response to this solicitation will be earmarked first to the general election cycle and then to the recount fund. Pursuant to Federal Election Commission rules, candidates may establish separate recount funds. An individual may make a contribution up to $2,800 to this recount fund, even if he or she has already made maximum permissible contributions to the candidate for the 2020 primary and general Elections.
Federal law requires us to obtain and report the name, mailing address, occupation and name of employer for each individual whose contributions aggregate in excess of $200 per election cycle.
