DISCLOSURE STATEMENT. Leadership for Ohio Fund (“LFO Fund”) is a nonconnected “independent expenditure only” political committee (i.e., a federal “Super PAC”) that is registered with the Federal Election Commission and is exempt from federal taxation under section 527 of the Internal Revenue Code. LFO Fund’s spending is independent; it does not make contributions to, or coordinate its spending with, any candidates or political parties. LFO Fund may accept unlimited contributions from any source, including individuals, corporations, and nonprofit organizations (including other federal Super PACs), but may not accept contributions from foreign nationals (except foreign citizens who have a green card) or federal contractors. Contributions to LFO Fund are required to be publicly disclosed. Federal law requires LFO Fund to use its best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation, and employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in a calendar year. Contributions to LFO Fund are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
