I am James Matlock, and I am running to become the next commissioner of the Texas Railroad Commission.
Why am I running?
I know how to play their game. I am a 51-year-old disabled veteran of the United States Marine Corps. As a Marine, I was trained in leadership and physical security as part of the Marine Corps Security Forces Company. I have served in many capacities during my eighteen years in the oil and gas industry; from Truck driver to yard manager, from dispatcher to landman. I spent sixteen years in the financial services industry. I see how many career politicians have sold out to Wall Street and the insurance companies. I don’t need a job, but I love Texas and our way of life. We need strong, proven leadership in Austin to lead the Texas energy sector on a path of efficiency and affordability.
There are a lot of issues facing the Texas energy sector that we need to address.
I will fight for individual property and mineral rights.
I will fight for a stronger, more secure, and reliable energy grid.
I will fight for the independent producers.
I will fight for the small towns of Texas.
I will fight for Texas.
Remember, Matlock for Railroad Commission on March 5, 2024. Together, we can put the Railroad Commission back on track and bring integrity back.
