New Jersey election law requires we collect the name, address, occupation, employer, and employer’s address for every individual contribution in excess of $200 in the aggregate
Proceeds will benefit the Election Committee for New Vision for Jefferson. New Jersey law prohibits entities operating in certain regulated industries (such as casinos, financial institutions, insurance companies, and utilities) from contributing. Election Law allows contributions with a limit of $5,200 per candidate, per election cycle from individuals and corporations, and $16,400 per candidate, per election cycle from PACs. Contributions are not deductible for income tax purposes. Cash contributions are not accepted.
INFORMATION FOR PARTNERSHIPS OR LLCs: A partnership or limited liability company may not contribute as an entity. However, a check from a partnership or limited liability company may be accepted, provided it is accompanied by a letter allocating the contribution to the individual partner(s) or member(s) and is signed by each contributing partner or member. The letter must include each contributing partner’s home address. A partner’s total contribution, through the partnership and personally, cannot exceed the $5,200 per election limit, detailing each individual’s name and allocation amount.
