To all veterans and their families, friends, and loved ones: its vital to honor our veterans’ sacrifices and challenges when serving our country. However, when individuals like Nathan Fletcher use their service as an excuse for their immoral behavior, it’s time to hold them accountable. Despite being a veteran, Fletcher has a history of excessive drinking and cheating on his wives. To deflect blame, he has pointed to PTSD as the cause, disregarding the reality that his low moral standards are the root of the issue. Not only does this minimize the struggles of veterans and those who have endured trauma, but it also diverts resources away from those who genuinely need them. It is unacceptable that Fletcher attempts to control the narrative and discredit his victims.
