Contributions to Rick for Illinois are accepted pursuant to the self-funding provisions of the Illinois Election Code (10 ILCS 5/9-8.5). The candidate has exceeded the statutory self-funding threshold for a statewide office. As a result, contribution limits from individuals, political committees, corporations, labor organizations, and associations do not apply for this election cycle.
Illinois law requires political committees to collect and report the following information from contributors: full name, mailing address, and amount and date of contribution. Contributions from individuals must also include the contributor’s employer and occupation. Contributions from entities must be made using organizational funds and must identify the contributing organization.
All contributions are subject to Illinois reporting, disclosure, and source prohibitions. Contributions in the name of another are prohibited. Anonymous contributions are prohibited.
