The Republican National Committee maintains four accounts with contribution limits for individuals as follows:
$44,300 for the General Operating account; and $132,900 for each of the RNC Legal Proceedings, Headquarters, and Convention accounts. The maximum individual contribution is $443,000. Joint contribution limits are double for each account. The RNC will deposit contributions into one or more accounts up to the limit for such account(s) and will use the funds in accordance with the respective purposes of each account into which they are deposited.
Federal law requires us to report the name, mailing address, occupation, and name of employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in a calendar year.
Contributions to the Republican National Committee are subject to federal contribution limits and prohibitions and are used to fund all RNC programs including direct candidate support. Contributions from corporations, labor organizations, national banks, federal government contractors, and foreign nationals are prohibited. Notwithstanding this allocation formula, a contributor may designate a contribution for a specific participant or participants. In addition, the allocation formula may change if any contribution would exceed applicable contribution limits. Contributions must: (i) be made only by U.S. citizens or permanent residents; (ii) not be made from the funds of a corporation, labor organization or national bank; and (iii) be the donor’s personal funds, not those of another person or entity.
Contributions to the Republican National Committee are not deductible as charitable donations for federal income tax purposes.
