Contributions to Sholdon Daniels For The People are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. Federal law requires us to collect and report the name, address, occupation, and employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in an election cycle.
The maximum contribution an individual may make is $3,300 per election—$3,300 for the primary election and $3,300 for the general election—for a total of $6,600. Married couples may contribute up to $13,200 per election cycle from a joint account, provided both spouses submit written authorization. Contributions from partnerships or LLCs are subject to individual contribution limits and must be attributed to individual partners or members.
Contributions are prohibited from the following sources:
- Corporations, labor unions, and federally chartered banks.
- Federal government contractors.
- Foreign nationals or entities.
By contributing, you confirm that:
- You are a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (green card holder).
- The funds you are contributing are your own and are not provided by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
- You are not a federal government contractor.
- You are at least 18 years old.
