When making a contribution, you certify the following statements are true and accurate: this contribution is made from your personal funds and not funds provided to you by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution, and will not be reimbursed by another person or entity; and this contribution is made by a U.S. citizen, lawfully admitted permanent U.S. resident (i.e. Green Card holder), and not a corporation, labor union, a foreign national or entity, federal government contractor, or national bank.
Team Josh is a joint fundraising committee (JFC) composed of participating committees Citizens for Josh Mandel, Inc. (CJM), Justice Opportunity Strength Honor PAC (JOSHPAC), and the Shelby County Republican Party Federal Account (SCO). Contributions from corporations, labor unions, federal government contractors, national banks, or foreign nationals or entities are prohibited. Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation, and name of employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in a calendar year or election cycle.
Contributions or gifts to Team Josh or any participating committee are not deductible as charitable contributions for Federal income tax purposes, are subject to federal contribution limits and prohibitions, and will be used in connection with federal elections.
Contributions to Team Josh will be allocated according to the following method:
1. The first $2,900 of each contribution from an individual or non-multicandidate political committee, $5,000 if from a multicandidate political committee or state/local party committee, or $2,000 from a federal candidate committee, will be allocated to CJM and designated to the primary election.
2. The next $10,000 of each contribution from an individual, non-multicandidate political committee, or federal candidate committee, or $5,000 if from a multicandidate political committee or state/local party committee, will be allocated to SCO.
3. The next $5,000 of each contribution received from an individual, non-multicandidate political committee, multicandidate political committee, state/local party committee, or federal candidate committee, will be allocated to JOSHPAC.
4. The next $2,900 of each contribution from an individual or non-multicandidate political committee, $5,000 if from a multicandidate political committee or state/local party committee, or $2,000 from a federal candidate committee, will be allocated to CJM and designated to the general election.
The allocation method above may change if any contribution would exceed applicable contribution limits. Any such excessive amount will be re-allocated to other participants, or if any re-allocation would cause a contributor to exceed an applicable contribution limit, then the excessive amount will be returned to the donor, or if under $100 then donated to charity or disgorged as permitted by law at Team Josh’s sole discretion. Any contributor may by mail designate their contribution, or make their contribution directly payable to, a specific participant, subject to the applicable contribution limit. Any such designated or directly payable contribution causing the contributor to exceed the contribution limit to the participant shall not be reallocated by the participant absent prior written permission of the contributor as required by law.
The maximum amount an individual or non-multicandidate political committee may contribute to Team Josh is $20,800, an amount equal to the sum of $2,900 per election to CJM, $10,000 to SCO, and $5,000 to JOSHPAC. For purposes of this JFC, the maximum amount a multicandidate political committee or state/local party committee may contribute to Team Josh is $20,000, an amount equal to the sum of $5,000 per election to CJM, $5,000 to SCO, and $5,000 to JOSHPAC. For purposes of this JFC, the maximum amount a federal candidate committee may contribute to Team Josh is $19,000, an amount equal to $2,000 per election to CJM, $10,000 to SCO, and $5,000 to JOSHPAC.
