Dear Patriot,

Governor Abbott recently signed an executive order authorizing the Texas National Guard and the Texas Department of Public Safety to interdict illegal aliens entering the United States and “return them to the border” citing Article I, Section 10 of the U.S. Constitution, which authorizes states to directly repel an invasion.

That is why TFSB is working to implore Abbott to utilize the full power of the state to formally declare an invasion, utilize state resources to directly repel this invasion, and return illegal aliens back to Mexico.

So please, sign the petition and demand Texas lawmakers formally declare an invasion and stop the border crisis today!

For Texas,

Chris Russo

Formally Declare an Invasion and Stop the Border Crisis

A petition to Governor Greg Abbott and Attorney General Ken Paxton

WHEREAS:  The current crisis at the southern border constitutes an actual invasion, orchestrated by Mexican drug cartels, subsidized by foreign and domestic NGOs, and enabled by special interests in the United States.

WHEREAS:  U.S. Customs and Border Patrol have logged over TWO MILLION illegal alien encounters in FY22 so far, not including getaways.

WHEREAS:  The U.S. Constitution states in Article I, Section 10, Clause 3: “No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any Duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay.”

WHEREAS:  It is the right of every Texan and every American to have a border secure from incursion by foreign nationals and an immigration policy that serves the interests of citizens first, not that of the Democratic Party, Big Business, NGOs, or even the immigrants themselves.

THEREFORE:  On behalf of all citizens of the state of Texas, I insist that you formally declare an invasion at the Texas Border  and mobilize all resources and powers available to the state to repel this invasion and return apprehended illegal aliens directly to Mexico. Furthermore, we urge you to resist the efforts of the federal government to abuse the immigration system to catch and release illegal aliens into our communities along the border and across our state and nation. Texans for Strong Borders will keep me apprised of your action or inaction on this vital matter of sovereignty and security!
