Republicans have nominated David Cook as the next speaker of the Texas House but a liberal Republican, Dustin Burrows, is trying to steal the election by uniting the Democrat caucus behind his campaign.  

Some Republicans are working with Burrows to cut this deal with Democrats which will mean that Democrats get chairmanships and kill many of the priority bills of the Republican Party of Texas.
