Federal law requires political committees to use their best efforts to obtain and report the name, mailing address, occupation, and employer for each individual whose contributions aggregate in excess of $200 in an election cycle.
Contributions from corporations, federal contractors, and foreign nationals are prohibited. An individual may contribute $3,300 to the 2024 primary election debt retirement; $3,500 2026 primary election and $3,500 to the 2026 general election ). Couples may contribute $17,300 ($6,600 to the 2024 primary debt retirement; $7,000 to the 2026 primary election $7,000 to the 2026 general election) from a joint account, but such a contribution requires both signatures.
