Contributions and donations to Sam Brown for Nevada are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes. Donations from corporations, labor unions, federal contractors, and foreign nationals are prohibited.
Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, address, occupation, and employer of individuals whose donations exceeds $200 in an election cycle.
Pursuant to Federal Election Commission rules, authorized candidate committees may establish recount funds. Donations received in response to this solicitation will be designated for the Sam Brown for Nevada recount fund and are subject to the limits and prohibitions of federal law. No donations to the recount fund will be used for the purpose of influencing any Federal election. An individual may make an additional donation up to $3,300 to this recount fund, even if he or she has already made maximum permissible contributions to the candidate for the election cycle. Couples using a joint checking or credit card account may each donate up to $3,300 to the recount fund on a single check or personal credit card totaling up to $6,600. Joint donations require signatures of both spouses.
